I walk with truth-driven individuals who’ve always felt different, who never fit the traditional molds, who were labeled too much, and who are now ready to stop abandoning themselves. They’re standing at the threshold, finally ready to step into and live from their soul and truth, to express their soul gifts, and create the path they came here to walk.
Dear Reader Do you invest in yourself? Do you invest time, focus, energy and finances in yourself? If you do, what is the focus of your investment in yourself? Physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, energetically or all of these? What you invest in can be a reflection of your self-worth, as well as a lack of it. It highlights what is important to you and what you value about yourself. It can also highlight the opposite, and where you may have a lack of self-worth. I recently listened to a lady who shared that she had invested $150,000 in her personal growth, learning new techniques and approaches for her development. I asked myself, would I invest that much in myself? Since the age of 24, I have been very conscious of finding the tools and approaches to heal myself from within. I always knew that the answers were there. I chose not to attend courses or read people's books so that when I was facilitating the programs I did, I knew I had experienced what I was talking about, rather than having learnt it theoretically. Then it dawned on me, that I did invest in myself and my growth, but in a different way. Experiences I had once deemed full of loss—experiences that required substantial time and effort to work through to reach acceptance and peace—were, in fact, valuable investments in my personal growth. For instance, I financed my ex's business, which ultimately closed. Following that, after some time he essentially abandoned me, leaving me with the debt. What was an experience of pain and loss at first, was an experience I invested in that facilitated so much growth for me. It triggered immense emotions tied to being let down and fears around money, rejection, abandonment, and being left alone. This facilitated one of the most powerful grief processes of my life. I consciously committed to diving deep into these emotions fully and totally, which expedited my growth journey considerably. This was not the only financial investment I made in my experiences; there have been many more. Each experience where I was triggered led me to unravel, heal, and reconnect even more powerfully to my true self. Our investment in ourselves comes in many different forms. My lack of self-worth initially prompted me to make these investments, and yet the outcome was that I reconnected with and strengthened my self-worth. Where are you not investing in yourself, due to a lack of self-worth? Where do you have opportunities to invest in yourself and your personal growth? Investment in yourself is not only financial it doesn't even require a financial outlay, as it also includes time, focus, energy, and care.
